Jeroen Van Herzeele (saxofonist) en Fabian Fiorini (pianist) vormen een gerenommeerd duo binnen de Belgische jazzscene. Ze werken nauw samen, onder meer in het Jeroen Van Herzeele Quartet (met Giovanni Barcella en wijlen Jean-Jacques Avenel).

Jeroen Van Herzeele (°1965) is part of that group of jazz musicians who gave the Belgian jazz scene a new lease on life, back in the nineties. As Van Herzeele's music gains maturity, he seems to be delving deeper into John Coltrane's work (think Interstellar Space). This energy as point of departure makes Van Herzeele's musical approach sound refreshingly contemporary.

Pianist Fabian Fiorini is a virtuoso with an extensive background in classical (wrote the compulsory, unpublished work for the semi-finals of the 2016 Queen Elisabeth Competition) and jazz (Aka Moon) all the way through to ethnic music.

Het is meer dan duidelijk, Fiorini en Van Herzeele creëren altijd en on the spot samen avontuurlijke en improvisatiegerichte jazz.
