Maarten Westers, pianoman chef and local hero of Koeketiene was from a young age attracted to all kinds of arts.
Through a long detour through jazz, studiowork, composition , opera, culinairy explorations and back to jazz, he brings you a quintet formed from long found connections in Groningen and the Hotclub in Ghent where he matured as a musician.

He will be winged by baritone saxophonist Giuseppe Doronzo founder of the Ava trio, Bart Maris, a true force in improvised music in Ghent and far far beyond, Rob Dirksen, low tone backbone in the royal concertgebouw Orchestra, and Anke Verslype, leader, composer and drummer for AKI.
