Ensemble Thursday Circle presents
   ZWWM (BE)
            Contemporary jazz quartet from Ghent.

ZWWM (pronounced as Zwwoom using the initials of surnames of all band members) came into existence after studying together at the conservatory of Ghent. The greatest influence of the quartet is the Miles Davis Quintet. They try to maintain the same freedom and playfullness in their music. The compositions come from different influences but the main idea is to keep it open.

ZWWM consists of Zjef Van Steenbergen (Broes), Warre Van de Putte (Don Marsh V), Werend Van Den Bossche (Dishwasher_) & Marcos Della Rocha (Kolonel Djafaar). For Thursday Circle at Ensemble at Citadelic, ZWWM will play a free improvisation set in the idea of the time-no-changes-music from Miles Davis’ second quintet.
